Johnny or John in EVERY movie...wtf?!?!

Is there a reason why his characters are always named Johnny or John?
Is he picking them on purpose? Or once he's cast they change the name to that?
Is he asking for that to happen?

I think that maybe with a name like Keanu he secretly dreams of having a boring name like John. I can only guess that in that Bertolucci movie he wanted to be called Johnny Buddha.

Ted Theodore Logan.

That's the end of YOUR discussion.
Had I had to list all his roles as John or Johnny, it would be a loooooong discussion.

Actually, it's way faster to list the ones that are not John/Johnny, like you did.

Not.

Thanks EvilPinata, not so evil afterall:-) I appreciate the support n the research.

I guess he's always Johnny to me because I love point break, and he's named John/Johnny in some very iconic and important roles in his carreer that millions of viewers remember by name (like Wick, Constantine and Mnemonic in the title, + dracula).
