His Greatest films and His Underrated ones

Jack's a tough one to rate, he's such a brilliant actor. Sure he's hammed it up at times but during the 70's for me he was probably the best actor around, yes even more so then De Niro and Pacino. He's one cool guy and seem's like a good guy behind the scenes. So I thought I do two lists one of his Greatest works and his most underrated ones.

1. One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
2. Chinatown
3. Five Easy Pieces
4. The Last Detail
5. The Shining
6. Reds
7. Prizzi's Honor
8. Easy Rider
9. As Good as It Gets
10. The Departed

His underrated gems for me

1. The Passenger
2. The Pledge
3. Carnal Knowledge
4. The King of Marvin Gardens
5. The Missouri Breaks
6. The Border
7. The Crossing Guard
8. Terms of Endearment
9. Hoffa
10. About Schmidt

I agree, but I think The Last Detail is extremely underrated. If never gets mentioned when people talk about Jack.

I think The Last Detail over the years has been getting a lot more love then it once did. I think the likes of The Passenger, King of Marvin Gardens, The Pledge and Carnal Knowledge are works that are more underrated in his canon then The Last detail imo.

Terms of Endearment won best picture and Nicholson won best supporting actor for his acting in it.

Underrated?

Doesn't get mentioned when you talk about his best performances. Oscar winning roles can be underrated too. Not every Best picture Oscar is well remembered imo.
