There is no reported movement on his next project, Unrecorded Night, so the "halt" continues . . . .

The next Lynch film has finally arrived. Fans are debating whether this is a standalone film or connected in some way with Twin Peaks. Whether or not it's a pilot film launching a TV series. Whether or not it's Wisteria or Unrecorded Night.

But at last we have a new Lynch film and soon we'll know what's going on.

And . . . just . . . like . . . . that . . . . all hopes were dashed.

An EW interview with Lynch revealed yesterday that the Variety report was completely off. There is no new Lynch film at Cannes this year.

Maybe next time.
