I think women don't feel comfortable aging because of MEN

I am 23 and I rarely wear makeup. I like to be my authentic self. And I am not afraid of aging. I think it's great to see women age naturally. But you know who I think has a problem with it? Men. Everything Oprah and her guests said on her show today was great, but it won't change what men want. Men want a young looking hot woman. Most men do anyway, I know there are a few out there who see inner beauty. As men get older, they want women to still look young. Women, on the other hand, don't marry for looks as much. I think we need to change what men want for women to feel more comfortable aging naturally.

Are you trying to claim it's not true? Which I believe it is. And if it is true, what is the problem with posting it and trying to fix it? I believe it is men who have caused the problem by wanting these young looking women, so women feel the need to get plastic surgery or not accept their aging body, to keep or get a man. But when men age, they can bald and get that "spare tire" and we don't see them as uncomfortable with it as women. It's really sad how some women try to live up to this ideal woman, usually photoshopped on a magazine, and not just accept themselves the way that they are. Which is why I don't try to strive for that ideal, and just take care of myself and love myself the way that I am.

23 and not afraid of aging? Wow, what a big deal! Come back with the same opinion in 15 years.

she is 34 now, and by 40 most women lose all their looks.

Hahahaha.

I'm sorry, if you think women lose all their looks at 40, I think that you must have a rather bleak opinion of women.

Nonsense!

Only two more years...

Yeah, I almost fell on the floor when I read that. At 23 NOBODY is afraid of aging!

You have 20 years at least on the woman so your insecurities have very little weight. Teri is almost 50, not almost 30.

Her obsession for being thin is what removes her appeal for most, including myself. She was hot a year or so ago but has went back to not eating and as a result has those hollow eyes that we associate with....

'But you know who I think has a problem with it? Men. Everything Oprah and her guests said on her show today was great, but it won't change what men want'

really? You sure women don't have problem with what other other women think of them? I thought women had a mind of their own, or does that apply when it's convenient? Yes, "Oprah" is our guide to understanding life, and learning tool.

'Women, on the other hand, don't marry for looks'

Sure they don't. That's why they marry any ole man with "inner beauty", regardless of his looks. Men don't marry for looks either, unless you think men are that shallow.

'I think we need to change what men want for women to feel more comfortable aging naturally.'

You go for it
And while you're changing what people want, change women who marry and "love" a man for his wallet. With a nice-sized wallet, I can see how women might not care about the man's looks.

Thanks for the education. Grow up with a healthy set of parents, did you?
