Was she killed?

Was Marilyn Monroe killed or did she die buy her own hand?

Just caught a pretty horrible docu on the MM-"murder"-theories on TV and couldn't stop rolling my eyes.

All of the witnesses the theorists cited only ever came out with "the truth" decades after MM, JFK or RFK had died.

The main "proof" cited in this film were surveillance tapes that one or two guys had claimed to have listened to in the 1980s. No audio-clips of the actual recordings were presented (lots of people doubt those tapes even exist), so all you had was the word of two old guys who related what they supposedly heard three decades ago.

Overall I think it's pretty laughable to think that JFK or RFK were personally involved in the killing of a world-famous Hollywood celebrity. I think they both had bigger things to worry about.

Plus: How is it difficult to accept that a mentally unstable woman with a long history of alcohol- and drug-addiction would (accidentally) overdose on said drugs? I know it's hard to accept that beloved or famous people can die in a "trivial" manner - but that doesn't mean that it doesn't happen.

Lena Pepitone, Marilyn’s New York cook, revealed that Marilyn told her in July 1962 about being in good spirits after having personally renegotiated her contract with 20th Century Fox over Something’s Got to Give. Marilyn went on to explain that she was now totally in control of her life, and wanted to throw a huge party for her friends. Lena began the preparations while feeling relieved that Marilyn was getting better...then she heard the sad news in August.
