Job interviews?

Does anyone else like me, not see the point of job interviews? I mean for just basic jobs. To be more specific, I mean jobs that may only pay minimum wage, or not much better than that. Recently, I made a 45 minute drive, and after just a little more than 5 minutes, the idiots gave me the impression they had already somehow decided I wasn't the one for the job. I answered all their questions positively. I'm rather confident in my interviewing ability as I'm not new to it. I seriously was left scratching my head, as to how cynical people often are. And this job only paid a top rate of $23 per hour. Like, f*^k, wages like that were being paid 25 f*&king years ago. I'll never make an out of town trip and have my time and efforts wasted like that again. They're probably a bunch of Aerosmith fans. People suck!
