Do you think Brendan Fraser deserved his win?

FRASER DESERVED HIS WIN...I AM HAPPY FOR THE GUY.

I think Fraser deserved it.

I thought that kid's Elvis impression was farcical. No clue what the world was seeing there. It was a pretty weak year for best acting. Fraser deserved it as much as anybody in the running.

I haven't seen TW yet but I thought Austin was very good as Elvis. I thought for sure he had it in the bag. I was surprised it went to Fraser. I've never been that impressed with his acting. But I'll get around to watching TW sooner or later.

I haven't seen "The Whale" because I don't watch depressing movies any more.

So all I can say is that Austin Butler did NOT deserve it! He was good, and I like that he captured the physical energy of the young Elvis, the white guy who can't dance but who is so full of energy and hormones that he'll just bust if he doesn't move somehow! But that's not enough to make him Oscar-worthy.

And I'm glad to see Fraser back, I always like him. And now that he's a bit older and doughier, doesn't he need to play Ted Kennedy?
