Peace through difference

One of the more interesting parts of being online with forums and chat is the fact that people are contrary on purpose. You say you dislike something and someone has to call you an idiot or some modern name that won't matter in two weeks. With this, arguments ensue where you're just going back an forth for no real reason. A healthy approach to this is to remember that the person on the other end doesn't really matter. All you're seeing is a digital representation of a though. It can be fun to spar from time to time, but it can be really annoying as some people get heated over politics, religion movies, celebrities and the like. How many times have you come onto Moviechat.org only to see some politician's face with a bunch of political junkies trying to get one up on the other poster? It gets annoying to passive users of the site wanting to comment on a movie or TV show they watched. But, that's the internet.

Here are my questions:
1. Most annoying thing to see when yo come onto Moviechat.org?
2. What is an example of your favorite online fight?
3. Have you ever been in an online fight that ended with respect for the opponent?
4. Do you ever chime in on other arguments online?

1. Most annoying thing to see when yo come onto Moviechat.org?
Thread titles with the word 'woke'.

2. What is an example of your favorite online fight?
Any sort of substantive disagreement (that isn't, as you allude to, petty/ego driven).

3. Have you ever been in an online fight that ended with respect for the opponent?
I try not to hold grudges, that seems to be a good approach. People respond to being treated well, usually reciprocate. I don't have a stomach for continual flame-wars.

4. Do you ever chime in on other arguments online?
Not to third man, but if I have something to add, or feel something needs to be said, yea.
