Bad Film Appreciation Society Thread

For those who love movies that are so bad...they're good. Starting a thread of some lesser known wonderfully terrible films--(guessing most bad movie fans already know about The Room, Troll 2, Birdemic, Manos, etc.). Feel free to add yours.

Road to Revenge (1993) John De Hart is a real-life lawyer who self-financed this insane action movie about an ex-cop who becomes a vigilante to bring down a satanic cult that has taken over his town. Yes, it's that good.

Street Wars (1991) After his brother's murder, Sugarpop becomes the leader of an LA street gang and creates a "ghetto air force" (straight from the movie) with ultralight gliders. Poster quote: Rule the skies, control the streets.

Fatal Deviation (1998) The greatest mystical Irish martial arts film ever made.

After Last Season (2009) The budget for this...umm...thriller?...was supposedly $5 million. Judging by the movie itself, $4.9999 million was dedicated to catering.

Hoop Soldiers (2001) The movie the NBA doesn't want you to see! One cage. One ball. No rules. A hard-hitting expose of underground "cage ball" where refs don't exist and anything goes.

Undefeatable (1993) A badass lady sets out to avenge her sister's death at the hands of a crazed martial arts rapist. If you love fight scenes where everyone is wearing acid-washed jeans, this is the movie for you.

Running on Empty Dreams (2009) MC user roxist said it best: This has to be the worst lesbian film I've ever seen.

Ben & Arthur (2002) MC user AzumangaDaioh nails it: This is the gay lovechild of The Room and Birdemic.

Carlita's Secret (2004) I'm guessing Eva Longoria tried to burn every copy of this DVD ever made...but some survived. Terrible movies...like life...find a way.

The Champagne Gang (2006) Imagine "The Town" but instead of 4 Boston dudes, you get 4 sassy ladies and instead of stealing money, they're stealing...postage stamps and instead of a story that makes sense, you get...this.

The Raiders of Atlantis (1983)
This theme song will stick in your head for days. Christopher Conley is not as muscular as the cover art on the VHS depicts.

What a wonderful looking mess!

Producer: I want something just like Mad Max.
Director: Ok.
Producer: Here's 12 dollars.

Yor, the Hunter from the Future (1983)
As his theme says: Yor’s world, he’s the man! Just a few months until Rebruary, now let’s cut the choice meats.

The Hands of Steel (1986)
A cyborg named Paco is the hands of Steel. Who knew acid rain was so strong? John Saxon with a laser gun, how could you go wrong?

Paco = David Hasselhoff + Cobra Kai instructor from Karate Kid

Road to Revenge and Street Wars sound like ones I’ll be looking for. 👍

Hope you'll enjoy their terribleness as much as I did!

I just finished Street Wars and the best part is when the ghetto Air Force looses Neck Bone to ground fire.

reply

Hope you poured out a 40 for Neck Bone.

Strike Commando (1987)
The screaming Reb Brown is the Strike Commander. Jakoda!!!

Hmmm, that one seems of a higher quality.

I assure you...it is not.

i haven't heard of any of these.

The world of wonderfully bad movies is as large as the Amazon rain forest...but it's not for the faint of heart.

My contribution as I told space comedy here is "china salesman"

A truly horrible propaganda film attempting to glorify chinas telecommunication network in China. Thats the films entire purpose. its "starring" Steven Seagal and mike Tyson. Seagal is barely in the movie in his typical lazy style.

and Tyson does possibly one of the worse vague african accents and horrible acting job you've ever seen.

When you aren't confused by the vague story of a vague conflict in a vague country. You will laugh at how hamfistedly they do everything.

In comparison it makes Michael bay look an expert handler of subtle patriotic messages and subtext.

Your description cant do true justice to "Road to Revenge" aka "Geteven" aka "Get even"

Dont forget hes a thespian who loves to woo women with Shakespeare quotes as well as preform country songs. Ohhh and have awkward sex scenes where he sings the love songs.

The entire movie essentially an ego piece and an excuse for him to hire young women and feel them up>

I dont want to spoil too much though
