Most say 'I would leave if they were cheating on me', but that's a little complicated when your whole life is built around that person and the relationship.

Yup, can't say I'm proud of it.
I thought I was being cool about it and said that we could be open, just talk to me about it if I wasn't making him happy. Thought then I could decide if I knew. Yeah. Didn't work. Stayed with him for years.
Then I dated another cheater, and realised that there really was something wrong with me. Got some therapy, learned to like myself, and changed the type I person I was into and haven't been cheated on since.
That's good. We settle for the standards we set for ourselves in life.
