I tried to watch Deadpool (2016)
The opening credits were not funny and neither was Ryan Reynolds. Then he started speaking to the audience at seven minutes in. That was it for me.

i absolutely love it, myself - lighthearted, goofy fun that entertains me every time i watch it.
no harm in being different, of course. one of the great joys of the modern world is that we get to indulge our preferences & curate our own lives.
