Abu Dhabi - final update - camel racing, belly dancing, night boat cruise.

So, after a week of fierce sunshine, it’s time to go home.

At the start of the holiday I promised my 5 year old daughter that I’d take her for a camel ride and I thought she was going to burst with excitement. So, after we’d gone to the camel racing, we did just that and she was thrilled.

One night the girls tried a bit of belly dancing, which was fun. The final evening was dinner on a boat cruise.

Fun fact - if you want to drink at home here you have to apply for a liquor licence (Muslims cannot apply). The only places you can buy alcohol are hotels and licenced businesses.

do they still have professional belly dancers?

Yes, we went to a show that where a guy spun around and was lit up like a Christmas tree, followed by a traditional belly dancer. She got a few people to join her at the end.
