a bit of morbid music trivia i learned today:

can you name the album that features songs written or co-written by three different murderers?

extremely famous band.
my 84 yr old mom, who knows nothing about pop music, would know several of their songs.

one of the murderers managed to work his way into the band's orbit.

the entire album is quite good, one of the better albums from that fairly inspired post-pet sounds stretch from the late 60s/early 70s. surf's up is probably my favourite out of that batch, but 2020 is a really solid record.

i heard it on a podcast that i follow called 'political beats,' a show where they spend each episode going through the history & legacy of one band. they just did a two-part episode on the beach boys, 6 hours in total, & that little nugget about 2020 came up while they were discussing that album.
