Which cardio machine is better for weight loss: Treadmill or Elliptical?


I've only use Treadmill and never used an Elliptical. I just started running on a treadmill and I hate it! To me, it's boring and it causes stress on my joints. Is Elliptical any better?

You don't need to run on the treadmill. Just have a high incline instead.

Put the treadmill on the max incline of 15%.

Then walk between 3-4mph without holding on the whole time. This actually burns a TON of calories and is much more difficult than you'd expect.

Nevr put treadmill on too much incline. It is bad for knees. Prefer keeping incline on 2 n do small stride jogging. It is almost a real simulation of outside jogging.
Crosstrainers r good if u dont want to hurt ur knees. N they r really good for hips.
Treadmill helps in fat loss better than crosstrainer if interval training is done on it.
Always keep ur heart rate 220 minus ur age n 75 to 80 percent of the figure.
Do short burst of sprinting.
Try intermittent fasting occasionally.

I also suggest the intermittent fasting. I do 2 meals a day.

A better diet and weight training would be better for weight loss.
Running is probably better for conditioning than an elliptical but you can do a slower pace where you could watch tv as you do it. Also, like you said, less impact on your joints.
