Pence can fuck off with that. He wanted to do this as much as Trump's other lackeys Powell and Giuliani did, but realized at the last minute he was gonna be the fall guy if things went south. He still met with John Eastman as late as January 4th! He wanted to do this but didn't want to take the blame for it if things went bad.
