Australia Has A New Government: What It Means for the USA

While it might be welcomed in Washington that a leftist government has been elected in Australia, the fact is, this was a protest vote based on cost of living rises.

This spells trouble for Biden and the Democrats.

The Australian people have turfed out their government, seat by seat, based on inflation, the price of gas, and the struggle of rising prices.

The situation here is not as bad as it is in America.

And it sends a message to Biden and the Democrats: just as the Australian people voted out representatives of the status quo, so too in the USA Americans will vote out the ruling party, in this case, the Democrats.

My prediction? Expect a Republican control of BOTH the House and the Senate.

And then, two years after that, expect a Republican returning to the White House.

The Dems only hope of holding onto the White House is the return of Donald Trump.

Renominating him again would be a mistake.

Any friendly, patriotic, down to earth Republican, who can speak common sense to the common man, will win against Biden or Harris.

My suggestion to Republicans, if they want to win all three--the House, the Senate and the White House--is to focus on the people, not on Trump.

If they do that, they can turn around the fortunes of their party, and the country!

I have mixed feelings if Trump runs again in 2024. I think he would have a better chance of winning as many voters will know the economy was better during his term than it is now. I also think we need a younger President after the last two Presidents were in their 70s during their terms. I'm hopeful for Ron DeSantis running in 2024. I don't see Biden running in 2024 and Harris is hated more than he is. They'll likely try to run Hilary Clinton again.

You are correct in this:

I don't see Biden running in 2024 and Harris is hated more than he is. They'll likely try to run Hilary Clinton again.

It would be stupid for Kamala if she didn't run but it would also be stupid if she did.

So she will. Hillary could run. Sanders will be what 84? They don't a have a superstar.

It's really just a bad bunch of old eggs.

Maybe John Kerry or Al Gore?

reply

John Kerry tried to run in 2004 and lost badly. There’s nothing relatable about him to voters and he has always been an elitist prick.

reply

elitist prick, yes.
superstar no.

possible savior...yes.

reply

There wasn't anything relateable about either Trump or Biden.

A rich billionaire vs a politician who served during the Nixon administration.

reply

If you think gas prices are bad now if Kerry became president they would be even worse since Kerry is a climate change nutjob.

reply

Maybe. But I don't time travel.

The democratic party have a problem.

The Republican's have a super star.

There is no one on the left that can run against him.

Who knows? Maybe Hillary will run again and try for WI and Mi and PA.

reply

Hillary is too old!

And while people might remember the economy was better under Trump, they won't forget how divisive and corrosive he was on the American people; nor will they forget that he was a SORE LOSER.

reply

Right. They won't.

reply

Trump might be a sore loser but the Democrats were even bigger sore losers after Hilary lost in 2016 and was responsible for the Russian collusion hoax.

reply

Right? But it won't matter again. There are no superstars or stars in the Donkey party.

Maybe John Kerry or Al Gore?'

Someone has to run against Trump.
