Where are the evidence for the alleged espionage accusations against Huawei?

The key issue with Huawei is that the company would HAVE TO comply if the Chinese government asked them to make a back-door type of mechanism in it's hardware or software.

In the US companies can and do refuse (like Apple).

About that woman for Huawei that was caught in Canada, I haven't heard. Wiki has a good article about her.
