BEACH BOYS or THE BEATLES?

reply

The Beach Boys is my personal preference by far.

Har ring molassis abounding
Common lap kitch sardin a poor floundin.

reply

I have to say I love both a truckload.

But I own more Beatles and intimately know all of their catalog pretty much, while my Beach Boys familiarity is less complete.

reply

The Smile Sessions is better than anything The Beatles ever did and in the discussion for the best album of all time, but The Beatles just have a much greater volume of good/great material.

reply

I choose the Beach Boys. What are your favourite tracks by the two groups?

The Beach Boys - Lady Lynda, I Can Hear Music, Good Vibrations, I Get Around, Wouldn't It Be Nice, California Girls.

reply

Happiness is a Warm Gun and Strawberry Fields Forever for The Beatles and Heroes and Villains and God Only Knows for The Beach Boys. I prefer those two Beatles songs to any Beach Boys songs, but prefer those two Beach Boys songs to any Beatles songs besides the two I listed.

reply

I remember the song I get around in the film flight of the navigator.

reply

Not even close, the Beatles by a country mile.

reply

The Beatles. Easily.

Like the Beach Boys and can say this. Where the Beatles last top 40 hit only made it to
#11 ("Real Love" 1996) , the Beach Boys ended their top 40 run by hitting #1 with Kokomo for 1 week in Novmber of 1988.

Pretty cool to end with a #1 hit. :)
