Ive seen most modern stuff (The Witch, Insidious, I Am Legend etc) and a good part of classic/cult movies but Im always looking to expand my horizon.
Stuff I liked in particular:
Event Horizon, Session 9, Alien quadrilogy, Bad Moon Rising, Deep Blue Sea, The Relic, Willard...
Im big on animal and creature features but I like anything, just not torture porn.

You should first acquaint yourself with the classic directors like Romero, Cronenberg, Carpenter, Stuart Gordon or Italians like Fulci (start with The Beyond), Bava, Argento,... Try the British Hammer Films.... Or the Hellraiser series... Pandorum, if you liked Event Horizon.... Poltergeist, The Asphyx, Witchfinder General... damn, there are so many and so diverse stuff. The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre for sure.... Polanski's The Tenant... The Haunting (the one from 1963), The House that Dripped Blood. The far eastern stuff like Ringu, Dark Water, The Grudge (all these have American remakes, but they are lesser, maybe except for The Ring, which I like more than Ringu), A Tale of Two Sisters, Uzumaki, Audition, Battle Royale...
Seems that you are just staring with all this. You have to watch much more to develop a taste for it.
You've watched Return of The Living Dead Right? and Late Phases terrible Werewolf Makeup but watchable. and Brain scan is good if you like Horror? with some late 90s flavor
