I mean shows that
1. you liked growing up that were clearly “problematic” that “wouldn’t make it today”, or
2. just the formula didn’t work when others tried to copy it.

For that matter any of the truly legendary UK productions that the US tries to remake. To disastrous results.
I mean..Robert Glenister as Gene? OMG.
Good luck trying to recapture THAT one.
And never mind the huge cultural differences between the UK and US that are a play and do not transfer. Remake...sacrilege.
