No message boards...IMDB I think is going to slowly die.

I think IMDB has underestimated just how many people used their message boards, and how many will now abandon their website since they no longer have them.

I have been a user since 2004 and wrote on a board weekly ever since, and honestly I feel alone when I log onto imdb now. I log in, see my voting history...my viewing history...and that is it.

There is no point to even go there.

The ratings of the movies never interested me, because I wanted to read the thoughts of those that saw the movies.....IN THE MESSAGE BOARDS!

To me IMDB is dead. I think the website is going to die a slow death without their message boards.

All IMDB has to do is flip a switch and the forums turn back on, and they'll see their site numbers go up. Right now, IMDB is on its death throes.

They are gong to have much less people on thier site now.

I'm not sure about that, though you could be right. I remember the other year when IMDb had their anniversary and the movie people were giving their feeling about the site. There were a lot of pros, mostly saying how useful it is if they needed to look someone up, a fellow actor etc. That's still there. I was always amazed at the volume of information there, and still am. I like their trailer feature. I regularly look at birthdays, photo galleries, Showtimes and Movie News. I do admit I don't go on there as much as before, but I still like it.
