The protagonist, an awkward creative girl meets a mysterious guy who builds small mechanical creatures, like little drones.
The mechanical creatures looked like birds or something. The guy tinkered with them in a shed.
Like a fantasy romance maybe.
This is ringing a bell , I think I've seen it in the last year or so .
I wanna say "Amélie" but it might not be that.
The machines didnt look like they were going to fly .. and possibly didnt , i cant remember .

Amelie (2001) is a french movie. No machines.
shareI'll throw out Hugo since the boy has a mechanical robot which he's trying to figure out. The girl is a very important part of the movie, but it is named after the boy.
