Scene from sitcom, woman wants in on men's conversation.

Can anybody place this scene? For some reason a woman, (the/one of the main character(s)) is visiting a place. After dinner the men and women split up, as is implied to be customary at the place she's visiting.

The women's conversation is very boring, talking about knitting and knicknacks and suchlike. The character leaves and then happens to overhear the men talking. Much more interesting, particularly a lurid tale about a brothel a guy visited whilst serving abroad.

The next time she goes she somehow manages to get into the men's group, but because of her presence they restrict their conversation to the same dull topics the women were discussing on her first visit.
