Film about Ordinary people are freaks and the freaks are ordinary

Once Read on Imdb a review about a 50's or 60's type film that described the society in it were weirdos unfit and the perceived strange people were the perfect people in our society. I dont know. It stuck me as a twilight type episode. At the moment I didnt care about it. But once I reflected on its review I tried to back where I had read it but imdb had switched it as when you refresh a page and a new review pops up. Ive posted this before in the need to know list thinking it would be an easy guess but so far not even close. Think its a fun trivia for some and in another way a good type of film to watch.
