Who is this actor?

Hi, I’ve found an interesting print of an actor wearing a civil war uniform, but I can’t figure out who it is. I believe the print was created in 1981 so the film would be prior to that date. Really appreciate any thoughts! Here’s the image: https://www.instagram.com/p/BchY2mcg1UZ/

What makes you say 1981?

Well the print is one of a pair and the other one seems to be dated “81” but it’s not all that clear. The second print appears to be Ingrid Bergman. Do you think it could be earlier?

He doesn't look familiar in terms of movie, stage or TV actor is concerned. Are you sure he isn't just some Civil War reenactment actor who posed for an artist?

Ah that’s interesting and maybe you’re right. It’s one of a pair and the other appears to be Ingrid Bergman so I wondered if they were once hanging in a cinema. It’s a bit of a mystery. They’re printed on to aluminium and around 16” x 12”.
