At one of my sleepovers we watched a horror movie that I fell asleep in the middle of. When I woke up the next morning, I was told that near the end of the movie the maid had hanged herself. That was all that I could remember years later. The movie was probably from the eighties or early nineties.

Also I think a housekeeper hung herself in Pet Sematary, which was end of the 80's.

The movie 'The Housemaid' from 2010 ends with the maid hanging herself and setting herself on fire, but this movie is probably too recent based on what you described (it's also Korean). This was the third remake of the film, but I don't know if the other versions also ended with the maid hanging herself at the end.

Manowar2010, it was in either 1992 or 1993 that I saw the movie, which was American.
shareIn Pet Semetary (1989) the house keeper hangs herself. I cant remember if that happens at the end or not. Thats the only one I can think of.
