Employer shaming

Have you ever done this, or something similar? An old employer I worked for years ago, really pissed me off. I quit the job immediately afterwards, saying to him he's fired as my employer. But he was such an asshole, I thought that was letting him off too lightly. So I drew up an animated sketch of him, totally mocking him and his business etiquette. It was of him with an Adolf Hitler type look, wearing a German style WW2 jacket with a swastika. And it was making fun of all his many strict business rules. Which completely filled up two big chalk boards behind him. I wish I would have photo copied this sketch. I had captions on it, claiming he had terrible body odor that attracted flies (you could see flies around him). I included all kinds of derogatory captions lol. It made me feel good! I faxed it to him and some of his business associates.

HOW IS MIDDLE SCHOOL TREATING YOU, KJ?

reply

No I haven’t.

reply

I could relate, but I've done no such thing.

reply

I also called his business "Hitler something" lol. As it was close to what his real name was. And he had boogers hanging from his nose as well.

reply

I'd never do that. I'd be blacklisted in my industry

reply

No, but I've seriously pulled the rug out from under a couple of bad employers by suddenly quitting on them without notice, at a time when they most depended on me. I saw my window of opportunity for payback and I took it.

reply

I would have just told him that the jerkstore was as out of him.

This is this same person that wanted an employer to just give them a job without an interview, and thought the employer should off him gas money for driving to the interview. You are just letting potential employers know why you are unemployable.

So I no I've done this. I've only ever left jobs on good terms so that I could use them as a reference for my next employer, I don't believe in burning bridges behind me. Depicting people that you don't like as Nazi's and Hitler is unoriginal af. He was probably just running a business, not burning bodies behind the building. What a weak comparison. I'm glad you felt better, but it probably cost you opportunities int he future, so congratulations, you played yourself.

“I don't believe in burning bridges behind me.”
Me neither.

“He was probably just running a business, not burning bodies behind the building.”
We actually don’t know this for sure though, right? lol.

reply

Agreed. 💯
And nobody is perfect...just humans, both factions (employees and employers).
All people have every now and then a 'bad hair day'.

Employers are just bullies much of the time. They become spoiled and to use to getting their own way, and all too often just like belittling others. This pos I found out at a later date, had a brother commit suicide. I wonder if he drove him to it. People who are thankless scum like he was, deserve to be called out. I hope he since has died of cancer or some other wasting disease.

May I ask how old you are because as someone who works for one of the more Liberal Universities in Missouri as Public Safety and considering we hire student dispatchers, Gen Z basically have the worst work ethic ever and should consider courses in Work Ethic 101 as opposed to classes in CRT?? 🤔
