Creed I > III > II. I didn't like Creed II very much because they took the lowest risk for the highest reward by bringing back Drago and having his son fight Adonis. It felt more like Rocky IV 2.0 instead of Creed II.
Give it a try. It's a fun movie with good twists and turns.

Billy Hope, the main character himself is a walking cliche. He's the undefeated light heavyweight champion yet he's never heard of defense. Hope is a face first Brawler. Not to mention he's also the stereotypical impulsive, angry boxer.
Hope's Wife - The concerned girlfriend who doesn't want her husband to box because her idiot husband doesn't know what defense is.
50 cent's character is basically a Don King expy, the sleazy promoter.
Tick - the rough and rugged coach who doesn't want to train the protagonist but eventually comes around.
