Yeah the trailer was basically 5 minutes of the entire movie. There is a scene of Nicolas Cage just standing in a field waiting for his kid to come back, but the camera was just supposed to come from behind him, and swoop around to his side, and it was jarring at how bad just that one camera shot looked. The second half of the movie is a bit better, but holy cow the first half was tough for me to watch. All in all though, I really enjoyed this movie. I agree, I thought this movie was so much fun! My movie theater was close to half full with a 10:30pm start time. For my theater here and a smaller movie like this, that was a good sign to me. I am trying to talk my wife into coming with me so I can go see it again. Maybe, but the recent movie Benedetta did it pretty well too. Apparently sister Benedetta was a real person, and the only gay nun on record. But I somewhat doubt there was as much nasty stuff as there was portrayed in that movie. Also a great B movie that was so fun is a movie called Nude Nuns with Big Guns. It was hilarious! So I say, bring on the nunspoitation. I thought they were going to go the other way with it, and have his brain in the body of the goat. I could hardly understand most of what they were saying. But I am just a white guy from Wisconsin. Oh I know somehow I will be the center of the target to everyone. I expect a lot more negative replies than positive ones. I think these movies really love to embellish car crashes. Same thing as earlier in the movie when the driver was on the test track, hit a curb but they made sure to show the wheels were turned at an angle to make you think it could happen. Enzo told the driver the car could hit about 130, I don't think that is fast enough on a flat course to launch a car 15 feet high and travel 50 feet in the air. That being said, the scene in front of the house I could not believe that was on screen. Wow, took my by surprise. I agree watching rally/road races with the people standing feet from the road, that is a recipe for disaster. I agree, the first 5 minutes was a flashback of him when he was a racer, then next you see him as a grey haired old man. I am thinking-you skipped quite a bit there. This is the biggest debate and I don't know why it is blown out of proportion. I would say its an Action/Christmas movie. I watched it last night and the Christmas music is throughout the entire movie, people whistling Christmas music, obviously they are at a Christmas party. No snow, of course because they are in California. Huge Christmas tree in the lobby of the building. I agree with the little to no advertising. I know its over 30 year old movie, but I just happened to be looking at my theater website and happened to see it. I have never seen it yet, and holy cow this was an awesome movie! I kind of knew what this movie was about before I went to see it last night, but holy cow! It was better than what I had imagined. The only thing that could have made this one better is if I got high before I went in. I felt like it at times with some of the camera shots and effects. I have never been more uncomfortable watching a movie in a long time. I was tensed up for a lot of it, and I had my hand covering my mouth at times it was brutal. 9/10 for me. I agree, its a cheap way to make a scary/spooky movie. I would have rated this one higher, if not for this stupid crap. I enjoyed the movie, I just hate the jump scares. At least make it so the sound doesn't make you go deaf when it happens. I am not sure, I have read stories of the Allies liberating camps, and giving everyone food, only to find out that all the food they were giving were shocking their bodies, and some were dying from eating. Some of the soldiers felt so bad having to take food back away from these starving people to keep them alive. Maybe the acidity of the milk on a starving/malnourished body can do more harm than good. Looks good, I am in! Den of Thieves may be my favorite of his, Cop Shop was pretty awesome, I did like Hunter Killer as well, that had some pretty tense submarine cat-and-mouse scenes. I loved Rock 'n Rolla, going back a few years. As well as Machine Gun preacher. I am a big fan of Gerard Butler. I agree, the original is better in my opinion. I was way too young when I watched this the first time, I snuck it into my room and watched it all by myself when I was around 13 maybe. Bad decision on my part! Ever since then I have loved this movie. But it's weird, I watch with some people and they just find the movie funny, and laugh at parts where I am creeped out. But honestly what I am worried about with these new 4k, is if there are special behind the scenes stuff on the disc version. I read last night that in the digital versions of these purchases, there is a lot of behind the scenes stuff, but for the disc versions, I just see commentary that is mentioned. I am definitely pre-ordering the Best Buy steelbook, but I will be a little bummed if there isn't a plethora of special features. I love that stuff. I went to see this last night, this movie is in its third week. The theater had more people watching than it did Mission: Impossible when I went to see it on the first day. If anyone sees this, I went on vacation for the 4th and went to see this with my family. This movie was great! I am so happy it was better than the Crystal Skull. I almost had myself convinced this was going to be worse, but I was so wrong. I think a lot of people have a problem with Disney, maybe not Indiana Jones? I slightly agree with that. But this movie was great, the de-aged Ford was good, there was a couple spots they way he turned his head, or made a movement that looked weird, but that didn't bother me at all. I had a nitpick that there was no movie logo that turned into a mountain peak. But the story was good, it brought up what happened to Mutt Williams from Crystal Skull, it got emotional near the end. What a ride! I am going to go see it again this weekend now that I am back. My funniest moment was during the yellow Fiat car chase, when Grace was driving and just doing donuts because she was standing on the gas pedal. Then Ethan tells her to drive straight, she overcorrects and now they are doing donuts in the other direction. I laughed out loud at that part. I plan on seeing it, Indiana Jones was the first action hero that I remember seeing as a kid. That has stuck with me, the character is awesome. I think the Last Crusade was such a great ending to that trilogy and I wish they would have stopped with that. Espesically playing monday morning quarterback looking back on Crystal Skull they did the character dirty. So I am apprehensive about this one, but imagine there being a new movie out with your absolute favorite character from childhood and choosing not to go see it. I can only hope its good, but I don't hold out a lot of hope.
