So what makes movie a “Best Picture” nomination then? Did Endgame not get nominated because it wasn’t “artsy” enough or didn’t contain melodrama?
I’m really confused because the movie was universally praised by critics and audiences. If blockbusters like Raiders of the Lost Ark and Lord of the Rings can get Oscar noms for Best Pic, surely this.
Why not??... it was a cultural phenomenon. A huge box office hit. A critically acclaimed movie. Endgame is now ingrained in pop culture forever.

Each decade he has a instant classic. His movies have been of high quality. All the films I mentioned have been critically acclaimed by critics and audiences.

Dunno man.. Dunkirk was criticised for being whitewashed. Some articles where saying nolan did not include indian and african soldiers.
I can imagine warner execs whispering in his ear to have the lead be a coloured person in fear of a backlash. So far nolan’s lead protagonists have been white actors.
In this movie Bond is in love and married!! He gets threatened by lynch. If that was Connery he would of slapped the shit out of her. This is fake bond movie, not authentic.
Actually it is an issue because James Bond is the most stoic alpha male character in the history of cinema. For him to be “put in his place” by a female because it fits “modern” times is complete and utter bullshit. Why can’t movies just give the fans what they want without any agenda or pc garbage?
Its gonna be a 2hr 30min borefest just like spectre. Too much talking and not enough action.
It should be more like the Connery era. Those movies clocked around on average 2hrs. They were fun, simple and straight to the point. I have a feeling this one is gonna drag.
Exactly!.. this movie should be plot driven only. I really hope they don’t go digging deep into the mind of James Bond or his past again. This is a action flick not some character study drama.
