Speak Now What I don't understands how he could go so long. I don’t know his medical history but generally colon cancer is treatable. If it is contained dot local tissue it is easy to remove and quality and length of life are improved, significantly. Of course, I don't know his medical situation, if there were any metastasis it would have been tough to treat but four year safo surgery should have done the trick. Naturally, he could not have done any action roles. So Balck Panther would have been out of the question. Nevertheless I hope he rests in peace. I am actually glad to hear that. I like Gerard Butler but he has become a synonym for bad movies in the last few years. I mean Geostorm. Hunter Killer and Angel Has Fallen all were really bad so I am glad he made a decent movie. I am going to check it out tonight and then I'll get back to you ;) Well, the movie is pretty bad and I am really annoyed that they wasted all that talent. I did like Malkovich. I thought he was the only one who actually got a little emotion and depth into his character. Although it seems rather underwritten like all the others. When I saw Chatain fight I cringed. I mean the choreography was really bad and after seeing Charlize Theron doing such a great job with it in so many movies this is really disappointing. Tate Taylor isn't a bad director. He hasn't made too many movies but Winter's Bone was amazing and it's not entirely his fold. The actors didn't seem to really care, the story is a shambles and there is never any excitement or tension. There isn't even a twist or showdown that would at least make a satisfying ending. The whole backstory is strange and we never get closure. Really the only good thing about the movie is John Malkovich. I agree with you that Adam Sandler is an underrated actor. He is very good although his bad movies and performances outshine the few good ones he made. "Just go with it" is an average comedy with a dumb premise that I watched because of Aniston not because of Sandler. In fact, I am very careful with Adam Sandler movies in general. Most of his movies are a waste of money and time and really not funny. I usually. read up on them beforehand and as talented as he might be, he has too many duds to really be really considered a good actor. Sandler is a better actor than Rogen, but Rogen's comedies are mostly enjoyable and funny and to watch a regular Adam Sandler comedy I have to get really drunk to enjoy it. Sandler is way too goofy and way too childish to be taken seriously and whenever I see one of his movies on tv I immediately move on. I think the costume in Handmaid's Tale takes away a lot from moss but when she wears "regular" clothes like in invisible man or Us I thought she looked nice. Nothing compared to Claire Danes. She looks a little nuts sometimes in HOmelandb ut then again that's her role but I feel she can pull off almost anything and look at that scene in season 8 when she is wearing that beautiful dress to the theatre. I think Lopez and Wu were very good. The other actresses did well but nothing special. I think there were some interesting approaches and like I said some nice choreographies, cinematography, and soundtrack. Sure, it's not the best movie I have ever seen and certainly not the best movie of the year but it was entertaining. Hustlers is the kind of movie that I can watch once and enjoy it very much and then I need a few years break before I watch it again. I found it thoroughly entertaining and it certainly was an easy watch ;) So what was the comment about? "Yet he still uses an iPhone." It sounds like that is something bad and everybody using and iPhone is not cool or sth. What does that mean??? Most of the celebrities nowadays use iPhones. He isn't the only one. He had handheld notes. I do not think the HFPA would have approved the things he said. But as he mentioned quite a few times, it is his last time hosting and he really didn't care. He spoke his mind and he was right in everything he said. It's something that everybody thinks but no one in the industry says out loud. I love Gervais' humor and his opennesses. We need more people like him in Hollywood. Who? Why would I be Gregg whoever? Wha has that got to do with anything? What the hell??? Are there any new pics I didn't see yet??? Because from what I saw in a recent interview she is still a very attractive woman and her face is the same as in the last years. I don't think anything happened to her face. It got more mature but it's still very pretty. I mean she actually looks really good for a woman her age (not that she is old or anything.) ;) BUt seriously that's like asking what happened to Meryl Streep, why does her face look so old. These are my predictions for the major categories. I put more than one since the official nominations aren't out yet and these are the most probable to win in my opinion. Best Picture: Uncut Gems/ Marriage Story Best Actor: Adam Sandler/ Leonardo DiCaprio Best Actress: Saoirse Ronan/ Scarlett Johansson/ Rene Zellweger Best Supporting Actor: Tom Hanks/ Brat Pitt/ Best Supporting Actress: Florence Pugh/ Laura Dern Best Director: Bong Joon Ho/ Greta Gerwig/ Quentin Tarantino Best Original Screenplay: Quentin Tarantino/ Rian Johnson Best Adapted Screenplay: Greta Gerwig I want to thank all of you for your great ideas. You really helped me out a lot. I will definitely try and play some of those games at my party and hope people will like them as well ;) That's a good idea. Thanks. I was also thinking about everybody having to pull some famous Movie quotes out of a hat or sth. and then guess what movie they are from. I am gonna choose the very famous ones so everybody should be able to get it. Additionally, I was thinking about maybe having everybody act out a scene in pairs from a random movie even if they have no clue what movie they are from or what genre it is. I think that might make it quite entertaining ;) You are absolutely right. For a situation like yours, it's perfect but honestly, it's not a movie I would necessarily watch again if I had other options. I could actually not put it better. Katherine Hepburn was an outstanding actress but quite often she could also be a pain. I have seen it. It's really good. Bill Hader really proves he can do more than simple sketch comedy. The Expanse sounds Intriguing. I have seen all the others except TMITHC and Justified. They sound quite interesting though. I think Justified might actually be right up my alley ;) Thanks but I am not really into vampires and the other ones I have seen already ;) Actually, it wasn't so much the jumps that bothered me but the feud between Lesley and Ron. They took half the season explaining that and it just fit into the character dynamics of the two. They always respected each other and were close friends. I liked season one though. Sure it was the beginning but the cast made it enjoyable and they had a great dynamic.
