Yup you're right, i got mixed up, which i think makes for another plot hole. If the clones are mimicking the actions of their humans, why didn't the clones die once they killed their human? Hmmm... you're saying it the correct way but this shouldn't have been the case according to movie logic. red should have never mimicked Ade cuz she was a real person. Ade should have been mimicking red, regardless if they were above or below. this is why the twist didn't add to the movie but only make things more confusing. what?? lol yes thats my understanding actually the switch twist should have never been introduced into the movie cuz it made no sense. the real people above controlled their clones below. by Ade being a clone above and red a real person below there was no way red should have been controlled by her clone Ade. a clone is a clone regardless of whether they are above or below and they are controlled by the real people. that was a major movie mistake. i think peele should have just left it at the whole hands across america theme and the clones killing. he threw the twist in for the sake of throwing a twist in, it created more questions than answers. interesting enough the father controlled his clone when he bumped his head on the boat and knocked the clone out. i wish he would have communicated this info w/the family on how to take them down. there is some connection between the mom and son (both real and clone) throughout the movie. interesting that jason was the one who saw the family in the driveway in the first place. the power went out, what made him look out the front door window or whatever window showed the driveway? and he was so nonchalant when he told the fam they were out there. also he was the only human to go in the tunnel. also what if red killed Ade, what was she gonna do w/jason? why did she take jason? was it cuz jason killed pluto? these aren't questions i want answered just thoughts i have. are you saying once red kidnapped jason she told him? peele is refreshing and i think the deal is that he had been a comedian turned thriller/horror/suspense director. honestly he has yet to make a horror film, im guessing that will happen w/candyman. anyhoo i was a shyamalan fan but he lost me after the happening and definitely after lady in the water. i heard split was bad but i wanna see it so i can see glass. shyamalan was new when he made the sixth sense and i remember everyone talking about it and the "twist", just as refreshing as peele is now. folks like refreshing! what was funny to me was how they were mimicking the real people on the rides. that was funny they were just moving up and down in one place while the real people were on the rollercoaster. i think they did that on purpose to show how powerful red was down below and Ade was above. ok finally a good explanation of how jason could have been switched. i've read people saying that but they could never explain why that was so. i don't believe he was switched but your explanations are interesting. he also couldn't get that magic trick to work and he left it at the beach house the year before. the only thing about people being switched is the clones look off from the real people. they look crazed, remember the white family? their clones looked deranged. anyhoo the fact that red was able to switch places w/Ade was a movie mistake cuz red should have looked a little off being a clone. she looked EXACTLY like Ade so much that her parents thought the only thing different about her was she didn't talk. so if jason was switched too that means he also looked EXACTLY like this clone, which now that i think about it he did except for his burned face. but we can't make exceptions for red and pluto and not everyone else. speaking of the escalator where did you get the theory that there was a power outage? but i had a funny thought during the movie: who was running the power to keep the lights on and escalor running? lol cool ending better than what was lol. when they were fighting in the classroom i thought Ade was gonna have to kill herself in order to kill red, because at first red was winning the fight. and since the real people controlled their clone it would have been cooler if Ade killed herself to make red die to save her family. nope can't answer any of those plot holes among the ones i need answered. but you're right how was Ade able to escape and how did she know the real Ade would be in that funhouse at that particular time? if she was able to get to the top of the house why not just leave out into the real world, was anything keeping them there? but these are my questions: 1. how did red communicate the plan to allllll the clones all over the world? (and get those jumpsuites? lol) 2. technically the whole "twist" shouldn't even have occured cuz the point of a clone is they mimic the real people. so how was the real Ade mimicking her clone? 3. did the clone Ade just remember she was the clone in the end or did that flashback happen for us to tie the movie together? 4. younge clone Ade should not have looked EXACTLY like the real Ade, so the fact that she escaped and went to live w/the parents is a movie mistake. 5. cloned Ade had no soul so how did she learn to love and live in the real world? this movie had potential but i think he didn't think it through and left more questions than answers. i don't even think a prequel will make this movie make sense.
