This is the post I came here hoping to see. Almost all of these Single Season Shows were shown here in the UK on Channel 4. Along with FlashForward, I really miss Invasion which had some great subtleties of character. Rome was spectacular and such an interesting way to 'update' history. Pushing Daisies was almost unique in being a bright show, as opposed to the contemporary dark dramas. I don't see many new American dramas these days (the only one I am currently watching is The Handmaid's Tale) so either Channel 4 isn't buying them or they are being shown on Netflix, Amazon Prime, Sky etc. I miss the golden age of SciFi TV Shows (about ten years ago, it seems) Today I Learned... How the American saying, "The class of [year]" comes about. It's baked in from the start. Here in the UK, we rarely use the phrase. The contradiction of Casey being so smart she could help her dad make whatever that was work... And, as you say, having smacked her head at the police station, being so stupid as to walk around in the 'projection' without checking where she actually was, was extremely irritating. Charlize Theron is a perfect stand-in for Kim Novak in Vertigo. Well done! I stopped watching about 80% into the movie, just as the girl was going to go down into the cellar. (I was scared). Having read what happened since then, I am so pleased I didn't see those scenes. I agree with your opinion on shit: I don't want to see it. Yuk! Isn't this a plot hole? How do the Not-Grandparents know the names of the kids? And that they are coming at that time?? Apologies if this has been dealt with in another thread. Thank you. (and yuk!) What happened in the cellar, if anything? I am here because I just watched my recording of it from the free to air Channel 4 in the UK. It's not so bad a film that it deserves the on air ban that the original poster asserts it has. This was broadcast in the UK on Channel 4. I recorded it because I tend to record most sci-fi. I wasn't expecting much because I was lazily confusing it with a Seth Rogan film (Green Hornet). I found it very enjoyable. Mark Strong's acting was great. Ryan Reynolds was good in the title role. I liked the green CGI stuff. And I wasn't bored in the action sequences the way I sometimes am in Marvel films. Yes, I spent most of the film practically guffawing at the ridiculous goings on and then I blub at the frankly schlocky ending. How's this for a coincidence? I watched Fight Club followed by Face/Off today.
