None of this matters. You people can whine all you want, but in the end, if the SW films stop making over a billion each time and "just" make Marvel money, they will be successful and turn a profit.
You are basing all of this on one movie that made tons of money. That is simply not rational, even if in the end these baseless predictions come true.

The movie was a hit, pure and simple. Numbers for the Avengers movies also dropped as time went on, but anyone with brains recognized that they were still successful.

TLJ was a hit. The franchise is doing fine. If we lose a few fans over this movie, good riddance to them. They didn't deserve TLJ in the first place.

Excuse me, cupcake, but that movie got very mixed reviews and both Paramount and Lawrence campaigned like crazy during awards season, with zero results. Which, of course, proves that you canât just buy awards recognition. There has to be something of substance that appeals to whomever votes for the things. Again: homework and basic research arenât your thing.

Actresses pose with actors and producers of their material at red carpets all the time. It isnât evidence for anything other than what is considered normal, professional behavior in that world of promotion. And she did, in fact, snap at him on several occasions for being a jerk to people. Just not when cameras were around.

Weinstein does not spend money campaigning for films he had nothing to do with which are actually in competition with his own for awards attention. You arenât even trying to think at this point.

Focusing on the Oscar campaign is just ridiculous and lazy. She also got tons of awards recognition from critics/film associations, more than any actress that year. Your opinion that it was an âaverageâ performance is clearly in a very tiny minority.

A. Weinstein had nothing to do with any of her subsequent films and would have competed against them. You arenât exactly fond of doing your homework, are you?

Such facts as that she auditioned via Skype for director David O. Russell, who then took the footage to Weinstein and insisted that she get the part.
Or the fact that she said Weinstein never approached her sexually.
Or the fact that he largely only approached women who needed or wanted a boost to their careers, and at the point she got the Silver Linings role, she was already Oscar nominated and had just received two roles in big franchises (including a lead in one of the most desired roles in the decade) and needed no help whatsoever.
Or such facts as that her performance was so widely praised it was predictable she was going to win pretty much every award that year, which she more or less did. I hadnât even seen the movie that year and could tell from the buzz which way things were going to go.
