I guess I’m just not used to this type of acting or style of filming. The way the actors spoke reminded me of a theater play, or a soap opera. I appreciate your opinion though.
Unfortunately they will never change or learn. Money is all they care about in the end so unless people refuse to buy the tickets, videos and merchandise they will continue to do this time after time.
Agree with you completely. Not only is there a political agenda in too many productions lately, but there is this desperate desire to appeal to us millenials. They think we are all jaded and would rather see well loved characters die on screen in meaningless ways. They are trying to capture the feel of game of thrones (hottest show this decade) and walking dead....not enjoyable or appropriate for hero vs villain fantasy epics.
Critics like s**t all the time. I don’t know anyone who can sit through a line up of academy award best picture nominees, in any given year this decade, and have an enjoyable experience. Haven’t seen the movie because of the negative reaction. I don’t like how they treated the characters according to the spoilers.
Haha. Ya that's true. You should go to one of the new luxury theaters that they built everywhere now. They're really nice and not so much more expensive than the old crappy, sticky seat theaters.
In addition, how do you explain so many who were excitedly planning on seeing this going on a year now (including me) are not even going to bother showing up at the theaters?
Well I think the story dies as a result of stupid offscreen, humiliating deaths. The series also clearly fails economically as well as produces hate from fans. Aliens 3 and 4 were box office poison and are regarded as filler. The main vlog sites on YouTube that have been excitedly following every detail of the newest movie from pre production to the premier last week made a total 180 with their reviews of the film....you can tell they were severely disappointed and lost interest and are skeptical about the series even continuing. Everyone who's seen it says nothing is explained or rational in the plot. I'm not saying characters they need to survive along for every movie but at least include them in the next installment and give them a proper, meaningful sendoff.

I haven't seen the movie and may not now because it's so stupid when they kill off survivors of a good film that people cared about just to have a new batch of victims no one cares about get killed off one by one. I really hope, since Shaw looks sick in the video clip,she died (or was mercy killed by David) due to infection. It is just stupid and disrespectful to have her be a naive victim brutalized by David, after having her heroically survive the torment in Prometheus .
