Most of them - not the last 2. Dunno why. So change it. I just watched Non-Stop for the first time and Unknown for the second time. I liked them both, but I preferred Unknown a bit more. But both were very entertaining! In the movie? I didn't get that at all. Over there are their houses, that's where they're going to meet you. It did kind of glorify it. The women all served just as (bloody, mutilated) plot points. Even in the book there was a meaningful female character (the call girl who helps him) but she is left out of the movie. All of those cuts of ppl saying diff things about the van was to show the unreliability of eyewitnesses. Kid needs a nice fresh broiled steak, salad and potatoes. Not pancakes. The casting was a bit woke-ish. But that's all. Generally speaking, the film wasn't woke at all. In fact, it reminded me of that hostage film - what was it called? Something like 'Run, Fight, Kill' (I'm too lazy to look it up). Verdict - not woke in the least, unless you count casting. Other than the casting/type-casting, I didn't think it was woke at all. Refreshingly not. But yes, it needed a better script. The main plot-point (the evidence, the investigation, etc) was treated like a throwaway. Hahahahahahahahaha Another guy wouldn't even have noticed her habits. Or they wouldn't have been so pronounced (ex: the insecurity) because he wouldn't have been so cold, aloof and 'grouchy' (to use her very charitable term). Another guy would have brought out a totally different side of her - sensual, emotional, passionate, giving. And loved her for it. I hope she found that person who she deserved, out in 'movie-land'. I think Kelly comes across as witty and sophisticated when he first meets her, but by the time she's married, it's clear that she's just a Wasp version of Lila. And he tires of her even more quickly. Agreed. It didn't look like a happy ending for Lenny at all. Agreed. Kelly doesn't become Lenny, she becomes Lila. And Lenny stays Lenny. That's why the alternate ending (acc. to other commenters) was of Lenny becoming irritated with Kelly just like he did with Lila. Good comment. Lila is annoying because they are so ill-suited. With someone who is more like her (expressive, sensual, emotional), she might get along just fine and not annoy at all. Hopefully that is what happened for her. I agree with everything except your point about the kids. I think as much as they bored him, he also bored them and they saw through him and left him sitting by himself. It's an indication that the boredom and disillusionment will be on both sides - as you can see by the father looking at him running his lines on people and clearly seeing through him. And then the kids are bored by him as well. The Lila character (Jeannie Berlin) is her real-life daughter. Seriously? Sitting and thinking how happy he is? That's your interpretation of the ending? No... He's feeling bored and about a minute and a half away from feeling trapped, just like with Lila. Because with him it's always about his next thrill. Until that wears off. Which it will - quickly. And then he'll again plot his escape, not caring who he destroys in doing so.
