I mean Ruth Mcdevitt. I think of Ticheba when I saw her. (Tried to go by memory when posting and failed). When posting I often go by memory but not actively watching. Another thing I noticed was how grandfatherly Roy Roberts seems as opposed to Robert Simon. The latter seems to have a sexual drive, while Roberts seems completly devoid of it. I've been binge watching season 5. I tend to do this with this show, then can't stand to watch it for about 6 months. I didn't realize how much Phillis was used this season to fill the gap. Now seeing more of Endora the latter part of the season. Phillis (not the actor) just made me uncomfortable, now getting used to her. Love Bennett's fav of this season from beginning to end. Amazing to see Queen Hepsibah doing a 180 in this episode. So far I've watched the first two discs. Noting that so far Endora isn't in the show that much. Thanks for the info. Always filling in the gaps of my knowledge. Also noticed the change of wallpaper in the entrance and hate it. ) Mother Stevens is really on my nerves as well. Just watched. I don't think that's tape. (Outside upper right square?) I think that's just the way the light is hitting. I can see how you would think that's tape. Been watching this season just to refresh my memory in general. I didn't remember Darrin looking so thin and sickly. Almost hard to watch. All this time I assumed that was Carol and never bothered to look it up. Still learning about that show after all this time. If there is, I'm not really seeing it. The guys running this seem too young to even be close to that time period. It's kind of interesting hearing this with younger highly pc'd eyes. Yip, and I think more than once the flaming arrow would hit the ground close by making Sam jump. To me Dorothy sometimes dressed the most interestingly. Not sure what period but her outfits were geometric and colorful. The fun part of the 80s. I learned how to keep a clean house. To be civil to others. To be an adult in general treating others with respect while standing up to those who are disrespectful. Learned to enjoy life as Endora always seemed to, just not in the same way. I enjoy the voiceovers too. Something charming and a bit of a timestamp about it. Really emphasizes the beginning of things. Should have used it again towards the end to comment on the decline :p I hesitate calling anything perfect, but I always enjoy Uncle Arthur's first appearance. He's just a nut and loved that Darrin fell for the whole gag and Sam's reaction to it. Enjoyed how the episode started with Endora sitting down to dinner with the Stevens. Two things I can think about I liked about the later seasons were the updated magic sound effects, and the different ways Endora would make Sam jump when delivering a written message. Listening off and on. Different from any other podcast. Feel like I'm getting a taste of LA life listening to their personal stories. Also reminds me of friends I've had before. Fun to follow and learn some things along the way. I get a kick out of those scenes. Liz really worked hard on that show. On cam the most and double duty for the Serena episodes. She liked doing that character though. I find myself re watching the 8th season for the it's so bad it's good quality. For me it's interesting to watch the cast give up. Exception is Agnes who usually put in what she could. The one who played Martha Washington seem to put in a good effort. No doubt 1-3 we're the zenith years but the 8th is my guilty pleasure. One thing that kind of bothers me about some 60s shows were characters that wear the same clothes. Maurice did that. Don't remember a different outfit on him at all. Although I do work with people who never seem to change thier clothes at all either, and the work is physical so it is a turn off to me to see that. If they ever restore this show for bluray, I hope they give us the option of shutting off the laugh track. They did this with Mash aand I prefer it that way. If I find I'm wrong, I can always turn it back on. Great topic. I took a break from the show so I could come back to it fresh. Clara's alternate outfit seemed to be that light blue one. Side topic: I would love to see a natural color photo of Clara to see what makeup choices were made for her. I've seen the colorized versions and assume the colors were wrong regarding her eyes. Same with Endora's flying suit. The colorized version has two colors but I think it's only one. I like that comment about Abner mayying his sister. Makes me wonder if the mother was the same. I personally liked Canfield in the role. Not sure I could choose. I like them both equally for different reasons. I also have an easier time picturing the first one being married to Larry. The second one seems better fit for comedy though, but as "the straight man".
