As nice as it is to have lots of people living under one roof in harmony, it only takes one idiot to send the whole thing crashing down.

I think it’s implied that the tight-knit community of colony acts as a sort of relief from the depression of being trapped in that place
shareYes I get the communal aspect but you can still have that sense of community without everyone living together in one building at night (although I accept there might not be enough housing for everyone otherwise)
