I wasn't crazy about this. It ended up being a story about unpacking itself rather than telling a progressive narrative. Everything gets mired in flashbacks and reveals. The show is about the mysteries of the characters and their histories rather than any dastardly plot unfolding on the world stage. All the nuts and bolts were in place for a pretty good live action version of Archer but they chose not to utilize any of it. It's all well and good to do a deep dive deconstruction of the spy formula but this was more just scratching at the surface and these characters are not interesting enough to make it worth the time regardless.
