Kicked into gear once John Bernthall arrived, boy is he good.

Was a bit of a snorefest for the first few acts. Generic plot lines about hoods, a jealous neighbour, the same old biopic tropes, old news footage, on the nose soundtrack queues.

I was wondering why I was watching it as I've seen the tired biopic format many a time before, same old biopic taking liberties with the truth. Then John turns up, and you don't care about the truths because it's entertaining.

Tony Goldwyn, then good old Johnny Bernthall propped this film up big time through the first hour. Even Will Smith improved and got some fire up his ass acting next to John
