I wanted to like it more than I did

and it may be that in a busy cinema, at the end of a long and tiring day where (the horror) the coffee machine wasn't working I was not in my best viewer mode. The two leads are great, the imagery is going to stay in my head for a long time and it's probably a very good film but it did not suck me in - I was just restless at times.
The audience I was amongst seemed to like it better and there were a few moments where they were laughing along and maybe that's a better indicative response than mine.
