So what caused the...(Spoiler)

...explosion?

Leona swore they never bothered with the cannisters that were unsafely secured. A lie or maybe others did-- but it was not shown at the time. But Leona did say on the stand she threw a lighter down to someone downstairs who wanted to have a smoke. Were we to just assume that somehow caused the explosion? What did I miss?
