A problem with time slipping

We see Loki sleeping in time several times. And always in the previous episodes he slips in time with his body while in the last 2 episodes only his consciousness slips in the body that he already has there.

How is this possible/explained?

Totally, i was wondering about that
One time he prunes himself and replaces himself
I am probably missing something
