I think Lauren made him out to be worse than he was but this new season/ revival of the Hills shows a different side to him. I can tell he really loves Heidi and he was very sympathetic to Jason when Jason was confiding in him....

He is. Lauren was so mean to him in the original Hills. I think that she didn't like anybody's boyfriend. She was mean to Justin too.....
