If you were Megan, wouldn't you be pissed?

Wouldn't you feel oppressed if you were told your only purpose in life was to serve and protect that kid in the movie. I mean, what if Megan wanted to go to college and get a degree, or become a hair dresser, or be famous tik tok?

If i was Megan, i wouldnt have free will to consider myself oppressed. As you say, my only purpose would be to serve.
