The Cindy Berman role is hard

She has be be The Bitch, but also be sympathetic and likable. That’s a very narrow tightrope to walk. I think Meg DeLacy is doing a great job; and it doesn’t hurt that she is fine as fuck—as are Stargirl and Wild Cat. I understand that actresses really like to play The Bitch, not only in her relationship to the other female characters but, implicitly, in her relationship to the male antagonists in the narrative. Think of Joan Collins in Dynasty (the REAL Dynasty, not that remake afterbirth). The female of the species is more deadly than the male. A male will just kill you. You know: bullet : brain. A female will make you beg for death.

Do. Not. Ever. Ever. Ever. Everevereverever underestimate a woman. Not. Fucking. Ever. And if it’s an issue that involves one of her children, do yourself a favor and just kill yourself, leaving a note that begs for forgiveness.

I hope it’s clear that my respect for women is boundless. I think many of you here know that I think Woman is the best idea that God has had.

This show gets better as it rolls along. It may be just my imagination, or enthusiasm, or both, but I feel that Geoff Johns has a special caring for his Courtney Whitmore character. Greg Berlanti is better-known than Johns, but Johns is the real creative driving force beyond DC.
