Finally saw it..Loved it.

Separating Childs Play(2019) from the original Childs Play movies..The 2019 more than holds it's own. It's a fresh take on a stale and tired franchise. It was hilarious..but the comedy doesn't come from Chucky. It wasn't scary to the point you will be trembling with fear, But it had a overall scary cringe tone. I can totally see "Kaslar" being Amazon. It really makes you think how something like this could happen in today's world. I would give this a solid 8 out of 10.

That said I can see how hardcore Chucky Fans would totally write this off. I am a hardcore Michael Myers fan and While at first enjoyed the Rob Zombie Halloween Movies..I have really come to dislike them over the years. I Hope one day we will get a proper Big studio release of the original chucky/childs play movies..But with 2 movies now going straight to video..Not sure if that will happen.

Edited to say That there is no True killer/slasher in Childs Play(2019) to associate with this film. That is a big problem. I am sure there will be a sequel because of it's success, but really what is the point? In the original Childs Play Movies They put the soul of a serial killer into a doll. It really made you think that the chucky doll was a real living, breathing person. I can't see this 2019 chucky version becoming as Iconic of a horror slasher as it's legendary predecessor.
