The last episode, what is going on with Dan?

Are they going to kill him off too? All of sudden he is sort of tired and confused. A lot of dementia going on with Jackie's mother.

I wonder if John Goodman is getting tired of doing the show?

I never used to watch this show until it was the Conners, and I actually like it, strange as it is.
