steak as The Lunchbox's signature?
Meh. Steak is more dinner than lunch, and while it's delicious, it doesn't seem quite like the comfort food angle they're going for. I say something like homemade soup over mashed potatoes.

shareChicken fried steak is the cheapest cut of beef you can buy. And you have to remember that this is middle America. Middle America appreciates a well done chicken fried steak. It could easily become their signature dish. It does sound better than "loose meat" sandwiches. Heck, just writing about this, I want to go out and get a chicken-fried steak for myself. Excuse me.
