So much better than I expected

Despite the widespread acclaim, I expected to have more issues with this than I did. Using animation to tell this kind of story is always going to make it hard for many people to connect with the film, but Flee gets it right. The images, largely animated with occasional real-life footage interspersed, are powerful, but it is is Amin’s narration of his tale that really grips. A harrowing but ultimately uplifting movie, impressive. 8/10
